When I say this is the WORST hotel I've ever been to, it's not an exaggeration. If you are reading this, thinking of booking a room at this hotel, then consider this a warning. YOU ARE MAKING A MISTAKE. Spending the night on a roadside pavement will be much better than this place. If you still have your doubts, I'm going to narrate everything that happened from the moment we stepped into this hellhole. It's going to be a tad bit long, but if my experience even saves one soul from making the mistake I did, I would consider it a win. We reached this hotel at 1:00 am or so. But hours before itself, I received a notification of 'Check-In' from the OYO. I didn't know what it meant then, but I did notify the OYO team about the false check-in alert. But that did nothing too. When we arrived the hotel was basically closed with a chained gate. We had to bang the front gate and create a ruckus to get somebody's attention. Some guy who came, half-asleep or half-drunk, (kudos to the 24×7 Check-in promised) took us in through some unconventional route and showed us a room that was simply the worst hotel room I've been in. It wasn't cleaned, used and with slept-in bedsheets, whole room loomed of a cigarette smell and worse the already disgusting bathroom didn't even have basic amenities, I'm not saying about the toiletries but not even a mug. (We Sanitize before every stay!? Also, OYO promise Sanitized before your Eyes! Just a cleanroom would've been enough.) Since it was already very late, we had no other option but to spend the night there. Interestingly, the Check-in process was butter smooth, because there wasn't any! We didn't have to submit our ID cards, they didn't even ask our names, let alone a booking ID. As far as I know, that is a legal crime. Hotels can't just give out their rooms to anyone like that. I reported the same to OYO too but no surprises, nothing happened. In the morning (9:00 am), still, nobody was available at the front desk. By then we were so frustrated that I found a number on their front desk that supposedly belonged to the Hotel Manager. The most arrogant and imbecile businessman I've ever talked with. He neither has no regard for his customers or the services he's providing. When I was trying to explain the problems I was facing, he only had one thing to say. GO AND COMPLAINT. And that's exactly what we did and that's when I got to know about the real extend of the scam he's running in the namesake of an OYO hotel. Whenever a customer complains about something, OYO basically reaches out to their Hotel manager and does a basic inquiry. No matter what you say or claim (no matter how many photos you have to prove the claim), all that OYO cares for is what the Hotel Manager says. He blatantly denies everything and shamelessly says they provided everything in class. No matter what proof you have, whatever crap he uttered will always be GOLD for the OYO CS team. Basically, this HOTEL IS JUST BIG FREAKING SCAM to extort the money of the customers in the most shameless and pathetic ways possible. In the end, We just had to run from there with another day of booking still left, because even the streets were better than that. We are still pondering our options of making a legal move against the hotel and its utter pathetic management by OYO, meanwhile, I hope at least one person is saved from stepping into this mess after reading my experience.…
This OYO C Seasons Inn is located quite far from the city centre of Chikmangalur. If you are going for vacation, it is best to avoid staying so far from the city as you will end up commuting a lot....
First the property is far away from the town and there are no restaurants, cafes or shops around. The hotel has tiny rooms in the basement, which have no ventilation because the lone windows in the rooms open in the corridor. The rooms are smelly and stuffy, the air conditioners do not work properly, the roof leaked in one of the three rooms we stayed in, the pillows smelled badly and there were cobwebs from which hung big spiders. To add to that, there was no wardrobe in the room, which forced us to stay out of our suitcases. What made it even worse was that there was a mob of locals partying until late in the night (until 2 am) and there was no hotel employee in the premises to stop them. We also witnessed noisy altercations between guests and the reception because they had overbooked rooms and shrugged off their shoulders when asked for a refund. The reception itself is a small area with two chairs thrown in for the guests. The reception person hung out at the nearby tea tin-shack and during exit from the hotel, guests must call them from there. Moreover, the wi-fi did not work and the rain water entered the corridor right outside the room . C Seasons Inn, therefore is avoidable for any reason or any season!…
