We stayed in July before the major renovations took place. The noise from functions held in front of our room was unbearable. The functions were held late into the night and one was organised at 6.00am in the morning with loud speakers blaring music which not only prevented sleep but also vibrated our room making it quite uncomfortable and raised our blood pressure to unacceptable levels. Management was not able to promise that this type of function was a one off event and instead moved us to a villa away from the noise for our last couple of days. You should check if any major events are being held during your planned stay. If there is, I would avoid staying at all costs. If they can guarantee there will be no excessive noise from functions, then it will be up to you to decide. After staying here for 20 years, we won't be returning again as we would never want to repeat this experience.
