The train station is within a block. I have never seen an issue but that does not say it doesn't happen. As far as the area within a block of the hotel, I think you would have no issues at anytime. There are several nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. As Ed said previously, take advantage of the hotel shuttle and / or Lyft / Uber. The hotel shuttle will take you most anywhere in a 3 to 5 mile radius of the hotel. As far as heading in and out of DC at night I would be careful. I think I would stick with Uber / Lyft direct from location to location

I will avoid this location at all times. Customer service is atrocious and manager tried to slip in the $25 parking fee for myself and my parents for two nights each, though we used Uber and had no car. Reservations promised my handicapped mother a first floor room, but there are no first floor rooms. Terrible experience. Until new management, avoid!
