The hotel is in a great location, just off the middle of the Ten-Mile Gallery, in a very scenic area
Maybe 15 minutes from West Street, the DiDi cost to there was only 27 RMB, and 26 RMB to Ruyi Peak
We booked on Trip.com, requesting a 5th floor room, and got it. The window was floor to ceiling and wall to wall, with incredible 180-degree panoramic views of the karst mountains, near and far, also from bed.
The hotel and rooms were very beautifully and luxuriously decorated - just like a 5-star boutique hotel.
Our room was very clean, very well-furnished, new, very spacious, and very comfortable.
The bed was also very comfortable.
Cloud coffee is the attached restaurant, where we had the included very tasty local Chinese breakfast, and nice daily afternoon tea, which had a few drinks and desserts/snacks. We also ordered take-away dinner there one night, and it was OK.
Staff were all extremely nice and helpful.
The staff didn’t seem to speak English, but we used Google Translate.
The hotel picked us up from our Li River boat for free. My wife, who speaks Chinese, called the day before to arrange this.
One day, we rented an electric scooter from the place next door, exploring the area. The cost was 30 RMB for a scooter all day, and 100 RMB for one with a side car for 5 hours, which we chose for stability. Their scooters were very clean, and in very good shape.
On scooter, we explored the Ten-Mile Gallery, which is a major road, but has wide scooter paths on each side.
The DiDi cost back to Guilin West Train Statuon was 300 RMB, but only 230 RMB when we added a quick stop in Yangshuo (?).
