What a terrific find!!! The outside is being renovated, so do not judge this B&B by it's first appearance. The inside is very warm and welcoming (I love the hanging sky chair). The owners have great insight into the area and some terrific suggestions of hikes and things to do in the Girdwood area. The bed was extremely comfortable and we would have liked to stayed longer, but we were on the move to see other areas of Alaska too. We would definitely suggest that you stay here for some warm Alaskan hospitality.
Alyeska Creek B&B (not to be confused with Alyeska Winner Creek B&B), was a one-nighter for us on the way to the Kenai Peninsula. It's an alpine-style house with vaulted ceiling, large picture windows overlooking forest & mountains. Decorated with native crafts, it has a number of funky touches--including a jacuzzi outdoors on the deck. Owner Andy is very nice, a musician originally from the lower 48. Older furnishings though very clean & neat.
