We booked th Rim View Room about a month before our stay. My wife received the confirmation email. We were going to an event outside of Payson that started before the 3:00 PM Check-In Time - so while we were driving up from Phoenix to the event, we called the inn to inquire about late check-in. We had to leave a message, but the innkeeper did call back to state that late check-in would be no problem. We got to the inn at about 10:00 PM and retrieved 'our' key from the mailbox by the front door. After showering and getting ready for bed, we noticed that the room was too warm for our tastes. So instead of turning on the air conditioner, we opened the window to allow a breeze in. At that point we heard some commotion in the parking lot. Another late arriving party had come to check in. Imagine our surprise (and theirs, too) to come to the realization that we were both booked into the same room on the same night. I pulled up our confirmation email on the computer provided in the lobby. The other party attempting to check in had the exact same email (same date, same room, same rate). They tried to call the innkeeper, but their repeated calls went unasnwered. Huge complaint - if you're going to run an inn such as this, there needs to be a 24 hour emergency number that can resolve these problems. So in this area, customer service was sorely lacking. The other party graciously said they would find someplace else to stay though by this time it was past 11:30 PM). Needless to say - it was very unprofessional to double book the same room and then to ignore phone calls to try to get some help. Hopefully the owner will do the right thing and respond to our email to her. Until she does we can't really recommend the Inn to our friends. Secondly - I found the description of the location of this inn to be somewhat misleading. Their website claims that the inn is 'near Payson' - while in fact it is right in the middle of Pine, AZ. This wouldn't be a problem for most people - but it caused us to drive an additional 30 miles out of our way (15 late Saturday night at another 15 Sunday morning on our trip back home). The room itself was fine - but nothing better. The bathroom rugs were mis-matched and there was a plain fluorescent light on the ceiling in the open closet area. Some of the furniture just plain didn't make sense (shelves by the unplugged refrigerator for one). Probably the most frustrating thing about the room was the fact that there were a few decorative windows that had no window coverings. Given the fact that the room faces east, by 6:15 AM the entire room was awash in bright sunlight. So if you want to sleep in on your vacation or weekend getaway, be advised that this room might not work for that. Additionally, the inn is near a restaurant that has live, outdoor music - which could be a problem if you were wanting to turn in early. It didn't really affect us since the music stopped around 11:00 - but it is certainly easy to hear when they're playing. Finally - since breakfast isn't served until 9:00 AM and we were awoken by the sun at 6:15 AM - we simply decided not to wait the nearly 3 extra hours for breakfast so we just headed home. It would be nice if there were a sliding timetable for breakfast (like at most B & B's). The dining room looked very nice and was all set up for the morning and most likely the breakfast was great.…
I make reservation on 08/03/09 for 11/2/09. On 08/12 , we need to cancel this reservation, for personal reason. When I ask Kim by email and I live her phone message ( never answer on the phone-18779746329 ),for my refund of 467$. she send me just one message, like on end of the month ( Aug) I will receive my refund. Today is 9/08/09 and do not have any phone or email or refund from her! What business is this? What I can do to receive my many back?
We had a wonderful, peaceful and blessed time at the Pine Victorian B&B! The Inn is quiet, beautifully restored, and the innkeepers are lovely people who create an environment where you truly walk away being "recreated!" The rooms are spacious, with large closets and absolutely comfortable king beds - the best we have slept on at a B&B! Custom wallpapers, bedspreads, and paint create a warmth that is exceptional! Even their website does not do this Inn justice! The Victorian dining room is precious, set with immaclate tables of fine china. Soothing background music fills the common areas, and essential oils provide welcoming scents in the rooms. The bathrooms are well appointed with fluffy towels, robes, and wonderful lotions and sprays. We appreciated the refrigerator in the room for our picnic food. The Inn is located close to the Tonto Natural Bridge, a must see, and the Tonto National Park, where we enjoyed a Sabbath rest out in nature. If you are looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway with elk outside your door and clean, fresh air amidst the pines, we would highly recommend the Pine Victorian Inn! Enjoy!…
We went to the Inn to relax and enjoy cooler weather, what we found was a beautiful Inn, beautifully decorated, and the service was wonderful. Kim, the Inn Keeper, was friendly and went out of her way to make sure our anniversary celebration was wonderful! We saw deer, beautiful pine trees, great places to relax outside. We enjoyed going to town (Pine) found a great family owned restaurant then the next morning woke up to a delicious breakfast, served in a very elegant dining room. We stay at Bed & Breakfasts quit often so we have a lot of places to compare the Victorian Inn too. It is well above the rest. We stayed in the French room it had a 6 person hottub in the room and the King size bed was not only beautiful but it was so comfy I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning! We reccomend this Inn highly. Ray and Darlene Phoenix Arizona…
