The location was great for access to the flea market. Almost half of the machines in the laundry room were not working. The pool was cold (the cover was damaged) so not enjoyable. It was a friendly atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a package delivered and they brought it right over. Very accommodating.
We have been stop and camp over night there for a couple times. We're realy like this place, I feel safe here, and peoples are very frienly. Great showers and cleanbathroom . We are definitely coming back again.
Truth is, you'll stay in nicer places; just not in Quartzsite. The facility offers everything you need and is walking distance to everything going on in town and the surrounding areas. Awesome pizza place adjacent. Car wash facility, oil dump and showers available. They always have space for the traveler w/o reservations.
We paid $41 for a one night stay at FHU campground in Quartzsite. They were recently bought out by a new company and as such are expecting some changes in the coming months. The majority of the residence are full time or snowbirds who live here for 6 months out of the year. They have a large library (pictured), evening social events, good WiFi coverage (we were in site 10) and have cable as well. Though we didn’t have time to enjoy their additional amenities of a spa, recreation hall, car wash or oil change station it was nice they had them to offer.
They seem to want to charge long term tenants extra if weeds grow on there sight. I have never heard of this in any RV park. I think they are trying to increase the rate already paid for the stay. The new owners I think want to increase rates already agreed to after the fact.
