Stayed here for the Olympics. Clean and comfortable, with typically firm Korean-style beds. Front desk staff super helpful, although spoke very little English. Hotel is a bit hard for taxi drivers to find - make sure you have a hotel business card with you. I imagine it would be a great place to stay in the summer, so near to the beach!
We stayed for the last several days of the Olympic Games in Gangneung. Our hosts were fantastic. While the stained wall paper and worn coaches were distressing, their service was tremendous. Breakfast was continental, and wonderful. Having difficulty finding taxi service to the games, the owner drove us twice to our events. Kudos to great service and a warm experience -
We booked the Hotel Business at the last minute, on a whim to see the Olympics. The accomodations were great. They are clean, plenty of room, and a good basic breakfast in the morning. The couple running the hotel are very friendly and helped us make sure our last minute visit was a success. In fact, on a few occasions they went above and beyond. There is a great variety of amenities in the room - robes, slippers, shampoo - which we were not expecting. Overall, a really great stay and we recommend if you are in Gangneung. If you are on your way to the Olympics btw, the Holland Heineken House is right across the street, there is a great Italian restaurant called Tom's down the road and you are minutes away from the beach.
