Ein sehr nettes Team an der Rezeption! Besonders Yona, Vini, Raj und Karen waren sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit! Das Zimmer verdient 5 Sterne, alles war sauber und gut gepflegt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wunderschön zubereitet, nur manchmal etwas wenig und die Auswahl eingeschränkt. Kayaks, Schwimmschuhe, Schnorchel und Flossen konnte man sich unkompliziert ausleihen und besonders zum Kayak fahren ist die Lagune sehr schön. Zum Schwimmen ist es teilweise sehr flach, aber es gibt ja auch das Pool. Die Fahrräder (Mountainbikes) waren zwar recht neu und gut gedämpft, aber relativ klein und nur mittelmäßig gut gewartet - wir sind trotzdem knapp 40 km damit gefahren (nach Cap Malheureux und Grand Baie). Vom Hotel aus kann man gut Bootstouren zu den Inseln oder zum Schwimmen mit Delfinen unternehmen, zum Beispiel mit Octavio. Die Massage hat sehr gut getan. Insgesamt ist die Anlage sehr schön und es war ein sehr ruhiger und entspannender Aufenthalt.
We were incredibly lucky to stay at the Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel as one of the first guests just a couple weeks after opening.We fell in love with the design and atmosphere the moment we walked in. A true highlight are the members of staff - every single person we met (reception, restaurant, bar, management, spa, room service) was kind, friendly, and just made us feel so welcome. Shoutout to the head butler Lekraj who always checked in on us and gave us some great recommendations of places to see across the island. The spa is great and the massages were so relaxing - the infusion/tea after are a great touch. We originally meant to only stay in the hotel for three nights, but missed it so much that we came back for our last two nights on the island - best decision! We spent the last night having a romantic dinner with a special menu and then stayed at the bar for a bit longer and mixed our own cocktails with some help with the guys from the bar (thank you again, that was such a fun end to our holiday!).
The suites are huge and beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you need. Some suites have a bathtub, a jacuzzi or even your own outside pool. The rooms were always impeccably clean and we just loved everything about them. The houskeeping staff made sure the rooms were always neat and tidy and done a great job of looking after the rooms.
We loved the north for the different activities that were all close by - the botanical gardens, the sugar factory, the Cap Malheuruex church. There are also many beautiful beaches nearby where you can relax and snorkel - we even saw some turtles! The hotel itself offers kayaking, snorkeling and a tour to see the northern islands (for extra charge). Just laying by the beach at the hotel and enjoying the beautiful view of the islands in the distance was also a relaxing way to spend the day.
We had half board booked for our stay. Breakfast is a buffet with everything you could ask for plus a pancake station and some local dishes to sample which we really enjoyed. Additionally, you can order fresh coffees,teas and some egg dishes. Dinner is a three course menu which we looked forward to every night. The chefs cater to your personal preferences and take intolerances into consideration - they will make sure you have great dinner!
When we come back to Mauritius, we will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a truly special holiday. Thank you so much!
Je commence par le plus gros point fort de l’hôtel, c’est son personnel, qui était tellement aux petits soins avec nous que ce soit à l’accueil, à la restauration, les agents pour le ménage ou autres il n’y a rien à dire, c’est une équipe incroyable toujours prêt à nous gâter et nous faire des jolies petites surprises. Le directeur et les responsables étaient accessibles et attentifs, ils prenaient le temps de discuter avec nous pour voir si tout se passait bien.
On a pu profiter du SPA en couple, un moment de pure détente.
Le petit-déjeuner était excellent, on voit direct que tout était frais avec un nombre de choix incalculable du sucré/salée. Le dîner aussi était très bon, on était en demi-pension, ce qui est juste dommage, c’est qu’il fallait payer une bouteille d’eau plate pour accompagner le repas, ça aurait été mieux d’avoir minimum une bouteille d’eau compris dans la formule…
On a eu un souci avec notre vol, l’hôtel, c’est sentie concerné et c’est arranger pour que notre départ se passe au plus simple et du mieux possible, déjà ça, c’est un geste qu’on n'oubliera jamais.

One of the first guests into this lovely boutique hotel. Top notch facilities and Spa. Comfy sunbeds laid out around a small beautiful pool and along white sand beach which is on a shallow part of the lagoon. Food is good to very good, as a new establishment, there were a few small issues kitchen wise but staff are superb and want clients to have the best time so only going to head into the excellent on the food front I’m sure.
Rooms and other facilities are excellent. As good as anything I have seen anywhere else in comparable destinations. Beds are extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is excellent. Rooms are huge, we had a senior suite which beautifully laid out and huge with an integral jacuzzi. The Junior suites are their smallest rooms and they are still huge and beautiful places to be. We had a nose around at the suite with a pool but for us the Senior was the pick as we had a good view onto the middle garden.
Nearly all your staff were excellent, friendly with genuine smiles who seem very happy to help. Some stand out staff who deserve a special mention who gave exceptional customer service: Head butler - Leckraj, always friendly, helpful and super professional. Reception - Vimi, excellent service with a lovely smile. Restaurant - Dillan, who put up with my 7am requests for coffee for me to take to my wife in bed with a genuine smile. Finally Sylvana who was so lovely every time she served us, so enthusiastic about Mauritian food, she is a huge asset.
Excellent Breakfast. Cold selection is good with lovely fresh bread and pastries and high quality cheeses, fruit, meats, pancakes and waffles. Hot choice also excellent with usual selection of hot options including Eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royale. Also excellent Omelettes. Excellent service every day.
Dinner is full al la carte taken on a beautiful covered area overlooking the lagoon. There are supplements payable for some items if on half board. Difficult to relate supplement cost to actual value of item sometimes but there is a reasonable choice without having to go to the supplement items. Dinner is overall good and we could see steady improvement towards excellent as the 10 days went on.
Our last meal on Friday night was perfection and the curry lunch on our last day was utterly superb as was the numerous sides to the curries. Sylvana our incredibly helpful and friendly server asked the chef to make it Mauritian style (and spice) and it was the best thing we have eaten all week, everything I wanted your food to be. If you stay at this level you will have happy customers.
Overall would happily recommend Sea Diamond, it’s early days but you can see it’s going to be one of those special places.

Très beau séjour dans cet hôtel ! Tout était impeccable ! Calme, sérénité... Accueil tres chaleureux par tous les mebres de l'hôtel. Mention spéciale pour Yona, Sylvana et Ryan ! Et cerise sur le gateau, nous nous sommes bien régalés avec les menus proposé par le chef.
