Stayed here for a night in December in the Ocean Pearl Suite. I would’ve given this hotel 5 stars if not for the fact that a dumpster lid fell on a loose fence and scratched the bumper of my car. I had to park in the garage even though I was told that I would be provided a parking permit, and I thought everything would be good considering that the options for overnight parking in the area are limited, but ultimately that wasn’t the case. I told the front desk about it and while they were sympathetic, nothing was done to rectify the situation. I simply moved the trash lid and fence on my own and carried on with a scratched car.
Otherwise, the stay was pleasant enough. The rooftop closes at 10pm. Our room didn’t have a window but there was a kitchenette sink and mini fridge available. Basic toiletries were provided including toothbrushes and toothpaste. There is free wifi and there are bikes you can rent. You don’t get a key card but rather you are given a code for the room lock.
The SW Hotel is beautiful self-service modern hotel. I had the opportunity to stay and host a private party on the rooftop of the hotel. The owners and staff there made the experience 5 stars! They are truly all one of a kind. You’re conveniently right next door to the Hermosa Beach Pier with access to dining snd bars all within walking distance. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10

Let’s start with the parking there is paid parking at 3 lots near by the hotel can provide a 72 hour pass to lots A B and C Each lot is listed for specific days of the week. Regular street parking is metered and limited to 3 hours.
The location is about 1.5 blocks from the beach and is next to all the places to eat on Pier.
We were called the day of our arrival by Mark to confirm when we would arrive.
Our room 108 was at the top of the stairs no elevator here. Had a kitchenette with microwave fridge sink and two burner stove. They have a K cup maker while they had sugar and creamer no pods. Note no shortage of coffee places near by.
The rooms are perfect for two they have AC Ceiling Fan TV . This places has great towels and they provide two beach towels If you want a robe they have size large.
This new hotel has a great view of the beach from the roof. I know they had almost a full house and we found it quiet for our two night stay.
Need something just let the staff know. I needed an extension for my Cpap I asked and it was installed by the time I got back from a walk.
Entry from the front is one step plus a threshold up. The back door is direct to lobby but again one step to first floor rooms. They do have a side door. If you are uncomfortable with stairs book the first floor.
My wife and I will be back. You will not find a better location and the features and staff are excellent.

So disappointing - the SW hotel fails to deliver in every category. The lack of care by ownership and poor customer service is seriously shocking. The room felt like a musty closet (with no windows) and when management committed to refund our stay and steered us to a different hotel nearby – they failed to deliver on their promise, the owner got involved and said they would not refund the room (including the night we didn’t stay). Ownership takes zero accountability and has the audacity to shift all blame on us, and would not help in the slightest… she’s the least hospitable person I’ve ever come across. The whole vibe felt icky and I would strongly suggest you learn from our mistake! We still love Hermosa beach (just not the SW hotel).

This hotel is a gem! It’s so cute and the staff is so accommodating and friendly! Great location right next to the pier and beach. They even have beach stuff and bikes that you can rent for super cheap… so convenient! The room was super clean and comfortable. The rooftop deck is gorgeous! Great place to have some drinks and enjoy the view! I will definitely be back!
