Fabulous stay - except for room service. Room service did not fit with the perfection of this luxury hotel. Ordered breakfast. The eggs were over cooked, bacon was close to beef jerky, and the potatoes were dry and tasteless. There were no condiments, jam for toast, ketchup etc. and they were “out” of Bloody Mary’s. We will stay here again but dine elsewhere.
The best thing about this hotel is the beauty of the lobby and the restaurant. The service, the food, and the cleanliness are all substandard. The front desk staff was apathetic when we checked in and I had to ask three times to get the room cleaned during our stay. There was mold in the shower and a poorly patched panel in the wall. The restaurant staff was friendly but knew very little about the menu and they forgot to bring part of our breakfast order. Two of the dishes we ordered for dinner were good, the rest of the food was mediocre at best. This hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating, and we were extremely disappointed.
Loved this beautiful, historic hotel. The room was extra large, clean, and had coffee machine and refrigerator, as well as every other amenity one would need. The service was wonderful. Thank you Dennis Adiarte, front desk Manager, for restaurant recommendations, sight seeing tips, ice, water, coffee, etc etc. The restaurants are closed Monday and Tuesday, but enjoyed two nearby walkable restaurants. The gym was very clean and had it all. Will be sure to return.
If you are looking for a hotel with history, then Hotel DuPont is the right choice. The room was beautiful and equipped with everything you might need. My only disappointment was the restaurants were closed on Sunday. We are definitely returning for a dining experience.
2 night stay for family wedding..my husband and I were assigned the most inadequate room, 635..so tiny..no mirror for dressing..no room for toiletries..very uncomfortable..all other wedding guests were assigned luxurious rooms/suites..I spoke to clerk, and sent email to the manager..no reply..the worst thing I learned is that everyone paid the same rate..beware..and ask about the room you’re being given..totally unsatisfactory
