I have stayed here in the past. It has been somewhat updated, but is not a place I would recommend. It is one of those no name places that people "live" at, or use by the hour. I would certainly not recommend this place if you have children.
No elevator, smelly carpet, smelly rooms, the room smelled like there was a hundred chain smokers in it..we went out and bought a bottle of febreeze..which barely helped..thinking of leaving it for the next guests.. not liking the location, it seems to be in not the greatest part of town is all I will say about that... guests running up and down the halls screaming after midnight ..called front desk and they handled it...thankfully.. the breakfast was actually more than I was expecting, they had waffles, muffins, donuts, bagels and cold cereal, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice..well, the OJ was out today.. the front desk was friendly enough for the limited contact we had but if we come back to the Henry Ford Museum, I would not stay here and I would so not recommend it to anyone else... granted, the rooms are cheap and like they say, you get what you pay for..…
Can't beat the accomodations for the price and features, especially for the location for several attractions. Also, the free wireless internet was a great convenience.
This used to be a cheap and clean place to stay. Now it is filthy with dirty, smelly carpet and dusty ceilings and corners. There wasn't an in-room coffee maker so we went to the "reception desk" to get our morning coffee and the clerk/owner came out in the same scroungy, soiled clothing from the night before. The coffee pot obviously hadn't seen a soapy dishrag in a long time. This was the last time I will stay there. At $60.00 a night it was no bargain.
