Apologies for my late reply! Water taxi goes from beach just out to the right of hotel. You can book at reception and it leaves at 10am, returning mid afternoon. Cost 6O euros for 2 people. I found it worthwhile as a one off experience.
For us no as it was too cold - we went at the start of the season - but if it was really hot then yes
