Clean, basic, comfortable hotel .. close to Ilford train station and right on the high street. We had a family room with 4 single beds which was perfect for us. The bathroom was extremely clean with a great sized shower. Breakfast was basic but adequate, cereal, fruit juice, toast, yoghurts and tea/coffee.We were only there for one night but it was perfect for what we needed. Very nice, friendly staff too.
Working locally I stayed here’s as a bed for the night. Everyone very welcoming and keen to help with friendly reception staff. I was even invited to have a cup of tea before leaving on a rainy weekday morning.
Room had all the essentials and was clean. Small fridge on floor was an odd addition that’s not really needed in my view.
TV was very upmarket compared to what I would have expected.
Low price does have some compromises. Photo ID had to be provided and I needed to search my phone for one as I never need to carry one normally.
My room had a strange odour at first so I opened windows and door to let air flow through as I suspected a previous guest had been smoking something. Not the hotel’s fault at all.
Otherwise a really good stay and a really good value, nice looking hotel. 👍
