I stayed for one night at the Kyykerin Kartano. When I arrived the place looked closed. I had not made a reservation and was not sure I would be able to stay. I called Kaija and explained the situation and she said she could come and check me in! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I slept really well. I do not know how i is when it is full, but I can imagine it is noisier. The breakfast was great and felt like I was in a home cottage rather than in a hotel. Highly recommend!

Todella kaunis kartano, jossa huoneet isoja ja hienosti sisustettuja. Sänky oli todella hyvä nukkua ja lapsellekin löytyi oma kunnollinen sänky. Aamulla oli runsas ja munakas erityisesti maittava. Illallista ei paikassa saanut, mutta omat eväät sai yläkerran jääkaappiin ja mikro oli käytettävissä. Suosittelen lämpimästi Joensuun seudulla liikkuville. Korvatulpat mukaan, jos sattuu olemaan puhelias naapuri😉 Suosittelen myös loistavaksi juhlapaikaksi.

A lovely little hostel/b&b in an old manor in Outokumpu. The hostess is lovely and the breakfast is absolutely delicious! No bathroom in the rooms but there are plenty in the halls. Notice that the walls are thin as it is an old building, so if you are a light sleeper, remember to bring your ear plugs with you.
