The hotel is rated very very highly on ctrip. When I was reading the reviews, I thought it is too good to be true for 149RMB/night. I booked it anyway, thinking if the reviews turn out to be a scam, we can always pack and head to the 5-star HongZhuShan nearby. Turned out it was really good. Even my kids say so.
The location is perfect. The bus terminal for buses to different heights of the mountain, and to chengdu is just round the corner. The food alley is right at the door step. Grocery stalls too.
The owners arranged for us to have the room with the 1.5m wide beds so that 4 of us (including a 9 and 11 year old) sleep comfortably in two beds. (most hotels offer 1.2m wide beds)
The owners take very good care of their guests. They give very accurate information on hiking durations. They arranged for private transport to Chengdu airport for us. They even provided a list of recommended restaurants in the city.
But for convenience, we ate at the food alley, which charged exorbitant prices for China standard, but reasonable prices for Singapore standard. The family had a traumatic experience when ordering the grill fish though. See my youtube video to find out why. "watch?v=QLbpeLRmz4Q"
So why is it so cheap? Because it is not a posh hotel. No lift, no bell boy, dated decor. But the room is warm (air con works as heater too), the shower is strong and hot. There is cable TV, and WIFI in the room. The floor is icy cold though. So you should wear the slippers.

Stayed 2 nights in this budget hotel.
Plus points:
1. Very friendly hotel owner. Each hotel guest was given a little souvenir upon check-in.
2. Room is clean and large, with electric blanket. The room we stayed in had 1 super-single bed + 1 Queen bed. We were even "upgraded" to a room which has a PC, although the internet surfing speed was slow.
3. Just outside the hotel is a food street with many restaurants. However, do take note that the prices as listed in their menus are marked-up easily by 15-30% or more (depending on the dishes). You should bargain down the prices before making any orders.
4. Location of the hotel is good. It is within walking distance (about 5-7 min walk) to the bus terminal where you can catch buses to Emeishan, Leishan and Chengdu.
5. At RMB149 per night (without breakfast), it is value for money.

1. After each shower, there was some water seepage (although not very serious) from the bathroom to the bedroom

Clean and large rooms! Perfect services! My family has enjoyed two nights stay in this hotel. It is at the good location, next to the restaurants and the bus station which can go to Emeishan and Chengdu. Anita Tao

很热心的老板，还提前打电话沟通，告知一些注意事项，到达后很详细的讲解旅游要点。很不错的性价比。房间很大，布置虽然简单，但很干净。离去峨眉山的客运中心很近，比较方便出游。价格也很合适。推荐去峨眉山旅游的朋友入住。
