The fourth stop during a business trip to Asia in July 2024.
Having stayed at another Hampton by Hilton the previous night in Changsha (disastrous stay - see review to know more), I was apprehensive to this stay as I journeyed further south through China on my way to Hong Kong. We arrived mid-afternoon at the hotel and checked in without issue. It was nice to be offered ice cream to take to the room at eat.
The room was nice, clean, good working a/c, bathroom tidy, and very good. Interesting no television in the room, more a projector from the ceiling on the wall. Saves theft I presume. Didn't use the TV so no knowledge if any English speaking channels.
The price for the overnight stay is extremely good. 350 RMB (£40) for the night including breakfast. You can't go wrong at that price. Catching up on sleep, I did not take breakfast but told it was a good spread with lots of choice.
The lobby was large, spacious and certainly friendly.
The staff spoke better English than I had expected, but it was nice not to have to use translator apps.
The only minor point I would mention is this hotel had to be booked locally by the company I visited the following day. It may be available on the Hilton website, but certainly not via Concur or Amex if these are the booking tools you use to make hotel bookings for business. That said, the points for the stay were credited to my Hilton Honors within 24 hours.
I would stay here again if back in town. I believe this is the only corporate hotel in town, all others are Chinese owned/speaking.
