Firstly, Hyatt members don't get any benefits. There's no upgrades at all. If you book on Chinese website there will be breakfast but not on Hyatt website. Secondly, the room is nice, but the soundproof is awful. Location is nice (close to attraction) but most stores in this area are either closed or empty.
We came to the area for the hot spring and proximity to panda centers / 都江堰。
Front office staff is friendly and we were offered parking assistance / luggage assistance from the parking lot. There remains quite some room to improve. We had to change room because room was not cleaned properly. Some lights in the room were not working and team cannot advise us where the switch is. A/C was not on in many parts of the property including lobby / elevator / hallway / restaurant when occupancy is low. Parking is another tricky part with narrow alley and small parking space.
We came to this place as Hyatt loyalist but I think it needs more time for the two brand to integrate fully to meet Hyatt standard. WOH globalist won’t get any upgrade but gets free breakfast.
Till next time. Thanks for the hospitality UrCove Qingchengshan team.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in Nov 2023, and would definitely stay again if in the area.
The resort is very new - opened in 2022, and seems to be part of a tourist complex just beside Qingchengshan train station. None of the retail space in the complex seemed to have been rented out, which really accentuated the quietness of the hotel.
Accessibility is very good, being just 5mins walk from the train station and less than that to the starting terminal of the trams to the entrance of 'Mount Qingcheng'.
Food options in the vicinity were limited. Apart from the hotel's restaurant, there were some noodle shops and a minimart along the road running parallel to the station. There were some restaurants offering charcoal-cooked chicken stew options a ~5mins DiDi ride away (consult the Meituan app).
The resort is rather small, with <50 rooms, and being in the low season, only hosted just a few other visitors aside from us. Hence staff attention felt prompt and abundant.
There were several room types available, each type being clustered at different parts of the hotel, so one's experience at the resort could differ significantly given one's room type. We stayed in a 'Deluxe Garden View' room that was located at the 2nd floor just above the lobby.
Although the room was one of the cheaper options available, it felt decently sized and comfortable. It came with a smart device that could control various appliances in the room (eg curtains, HVAC, TV, lights), play ambient music and also convey requests to the staff. The shower water was strong and instantly hot.
The resort had a self-service laundry area with 2 washers and dryers. The availability of the machines and the time of their current cycle (if in use) could be seen with the room TVs.
There was an outdoor hot spring area with three small 'pools' and an attendant. The area was only open for a couple of hours a day in November, but this might be different during other parts of the year. That said, it's no big loss if one skipped them.
