In Juba, safety can be a great concern but at Juba Raha Hotel I felt completely SAFE. This Hotel is in Juba Town opposite the JIT Supermarket which is very convenient. The Hotel also houses many offices of NGO's and other companies. Normally the price per night is $130 but you should be able to get a good bargain if you are planning to stay long term. This rate includes 3 meals, laundry, house keeping, internet etc making it a complete package. The food is quite good by Juba standards, and the chef makes some excellent Pizzas. You tend to make lot of friends and meet many people at the Juba Raha, so it doesn't get boring in the evenings. There is a very lively party on Friday evenings which can go on late into the night.

Most likely you're coming to Juba for work with an NGO, humanitarian org or business because South Sudan, especially Juba, has not yet bloomed a tourist industry. For that reason, take this review with a "for Juba" grain of salt in all aspects. I did compare it to lots of other places, including the Juba Grand and Afex, and found this to be a better, cleaner and more roomy hotel for the money. Everything is very expensive here. You're lucky to get a room for $100 /night but only for long-term. Board is breakfast or b, l, dinner for a bit more. The food is exceptional (again, given it's Juba) and has good Indian food and pizza cooked over an open fire in the back, with a full bar. The rooms are pretty clean and the studios are roomy with wide screen TVs (only 3 channels however), free cleaning and laundry service daily, and wifi that's on all the time that you can use all over the grounds. The electricity (generator) runs from 5:30 to 2:00 pm or so so you won't end up in the dark too often, like some other places.
