Hier 2 nachten verbleven. Geen welkom. Na een aantal malen roepen kwam er een oma tevoorschijn. Kamer was nog vuil. Gebruikt toiletpapier in de afvalbak. Bed moest nog worden opgemaakt en kleed wat op de grond lag was vuil. De afvalbak werd geleegd op mijn verzoek. Het vloerkleed heb ik zelf maar gestofzuigd omdat ik het niet aan kon zien. Via Google Translate begrepen dat de kamer nog niet was schoongemaakt, het was rond 15 uur in de middag toen ik iaankwam, dat diegene die dat had moeten doen aan het werk was elders. Het het afrekenen vond ik erg onprettig. Omdat ik op een gebruikte kamer kwam heb ik netjes gevraagd of ik wat korting kon krijgen. De communicatie met de oma van het Guesthouse ging met Google Translate. Omdat we er niet uitkwamen heb ik gevraagd of ik haar zoon aan de telefoon kon krijgen, hij sprak Engels. Hij vertelde dat het niet zijn probleem was dat de kamer niet schoon was. Hij zou de politie erbij halen als ik niet wilde betalen. Ik heb 200 SUM minder op tafel gelegd en heb mijn schoenen aangedaan en ben weggegaan. Oma bleef met haar zoon aan de telefoon... Kortom: het was geen prettig verblijf! Het gaat blijkbaar alleen om het geld…

Ochotný vedoucí hostelu. Pokoje s vlastní koupelnou. Čisto. Venkovní kryté posezení na plastových židlích. Velké parkoviště. Spali jsme 1 noc před odjezdem do hor po návratu to byla volba číslo 1. Měli obsazeno, ale domluvili nám ubytování jinde. Děkujeme.

Очень доброжелательный персонал. Чистая и уютная комната. А самое главное не далеко от центра города. Можно отдельно заказать ужин. Когда ты в командировке в чужом городе, иногда на самом деле хочется поужинать в номере, так что в этом плане здесь проблем нету. Для бюджетников мне кажется самый раз подходящий вариант дешево и сердито. В комнатах WI-Fi несколько телеканалов ловит. так что вполне нас устраивает. Мне кажется один из самых бюджетных гостевых домов, за соответствующий сервис

The hotel is in the quiet east side of town, within 15min walk into town center if you have good legs. It wasn't our first choice, but the other hotel nearby was full and recommended that we try out Tulpar. Overall I'd say it's an ok, family-run hotel. The helpful proprietor speaks limited English but would be happy to help if asked. The hotel is unassuming. Internet worked when she paid for the new month's subscription the next morning. When the heater was turned on the second night (when there were more guests), it was more comfortable than the first. The rooms are clean and good. But the main positive for us is the lovely ensuite with 2 bedrooms they provided for my wife and I and our 2 young kids. They only charged a nominal price for kids so I think that room was really good deal. We loved the space. The curtains are however too thin and wished they had installed day curtains. The proprietor insisted on charging us for breakfast because our taxi driver jumped out of the car and started claiming he brought us and require a tip, although we know some other guests paid the same rate that's inclusive. That's not her fault, but on the second night she insisted that the same rate holds. To rub salt in the wound, we met a fellow Singaporean and his girlfriend who came with some other travellers (the latter paid the inclusive rate earlier). Because I chatted with them, she also insisted they pay the non-inclusive rate. That left a bad taste in our mouth. Not exactly professionally run. Even then breakfast is nothing to shout about (we had it for the first day to try 'compensate' her for the tip she paid the driver), so we're happy to skip it on the second. The hotel provides laundry service, but what that meant is that your clothes are thrown into the washing machine as-is, hung up on a string and folded clumsily back into the bag. Nope they won't flip the pieces right side out as normal laundry shops do, just folded up inside out and returned to you un-ironed. Laundry rates are reasonable however so we're ok. Overall this place is really a family-run place, not exactly run professionally, so don't come with too high expectations. But it's a good deal for the family room if there are 4 of you who want to stay together.…

Chambre simple mais fonctionnelle, petit déjeuner excellent et personnel extrêmement accueillant et serviable. Petit hôtel idéal pour passer 1 ou 2 nuits avant ou après une randonnée dans la magnifique région de Karakol.
