Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we are very sorry that you had an uncomfortable experience at the spa. This facility is actually a privately owned members club that is also open to the public. For this reason, there are stipulations all members have agreed to including the policy on tattoos, children and photography that also apply to the general public. Much like policies regarding no smoking, dress codes, etc, in private facilities around the world, Japan often stipulates strict regulations about tattoos for reasons based in culture and history in this country. As Japan internationalizes and more and more visitors arrive from around the world, we think some of these policies will change but for now, on site staff does their best to make sure rules are followed and we also work very hard to provide this info in our online promotion and social media/website presence.
