I am saddened to read your report as we did our utmost while you were among us. It would have been a pleasure if you could have discuss these issues with the Management Team during your stay instead that you have had to resort to TripAdvisor,
Please note that Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa has contracted one of the best pest prevention providers in Mauritius following industry standards and for which detailed logs are recorded. The hotel certainly does not have a pest problem. The hotel is located next to a protected nature reserve and within reason natural inhabitants will venture across the boundaries from time to time. This is dealt with by our pest prevention provider in short time using environmentally friendly methods. One certainly cannot expect a hotel set in the beautiful natural environment of Mauritius to eradicate all natural wildlife in the surrounding areas.
I am surprised at your comments on the attitude of the Team Members. From our many reviews it is apparent that one of the key strengths of Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa has always been the friendly Team Members. However we will be attentive to this comment.
We are shocked that you feel ‘scammed’ in the All Inclusive deal. Through the years we have always maintained absolute integrity with our Tour Operators in relation to the various package details and the communication thereof. We rely on our Tour Operators to ensure that all information is well communicated prior to arrival of our guests and even more the check-in and check-out time as well as the detail package is communicated to all guests upon arrival.
As per international standards and most hotels in Mauritius check-in time is at 14h00 and checkout time is at 12h00. Whenever possible Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa will always make a room available earlier (upon arrival) or later (upon departure) subject to availability .All consumption over the check-out time is normally chargeable.
We hope to have the opportunity to enhance your stay at Jalsa Beach in near future.
