Even a short walk in Death Valley's soaring temps can be taxing so your advice is wise and also why, although our AC can be a bit on the noisey side, that we continue to use them- they are powerful enough to keep our guest rooms comfortable and cool even when temperatures easily exceed 120F! As you mentioned, we have a great bar and it's a great place to enjoy a handmixed Mosaic margarita or an icy draught beer to beat the heat! With friendly staff, delicious dining and ways to beat the heat that include an outdoor pool and individually controlled guest room air conditioning, Stovepipe Wells Village is the perfect home base for exploring Death Valley National Park. Just a note regarding the ACs- their sound can definitely make their presence known but as you can imagine, battling the Death Valley heat requires some substantial power and we have found that these units offer the most effective means for keeping our guest rooms cool and comfortable..
