Thank you for the wonderful review of our new summer exhibition - Alberto Giacometti: A Line Through Time. I am glad you enjoyed it! This wide-ranging exhibition of paintings, sculptures, drawings and lithographs by the renowned twentieth century sculptor showcases his works alongside the ancient sculptures that served his imagination, and works by his famed contemporaries. This is a North American premiere, with the exhibition coming from the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts following its 2016 presentation, which The Telegraph named one of its top exhibitions of the year. We are thrilled to have this exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

I'm glad you found the French Moderns exhibition worthwhile. It covers a hundred year span of art at a time of great change. We regret that you did not enjoy the Mowry Baden exhibition. He is a well loved Canadian artist and his installation challenges our senses but being art we appreciate that it's not for everyone.

It does not sound like you were able to visit the Gallery exhibitions on floors 3 and 4. 'Moving Still: Performative Photography in India' on the 3rd floor features artists who use the camera's power to subvert reality. On our 4th floor is 'Views of the Collection: The Street" which is comprised of works from the Gallery's collection.
