We regret that you evidently did not notice all the information concerning the castle entrance fees when booking your tour because otherwise you would have known that castle entrance fees on our Royal Castles tour are always extra. The information pertaining to this is available all over – in the tour description on the internet, on the sites where you can book the tour, in our info brochure on page 30 or anywhere else that this tour is mentioned.

In all cases it also clearly and plainly states the exact amount of these costs and the fact that these costs are additional and to be paid on the day of your tour to the guide on the bus. We are sorry that this was somehow not clear to you. By the way, the current fees are € 23,- per person, so if you paid less, you were undercharged!

Anyone who has managed to read this information while booking the tour is not in for any surprises. Since it is so prominently placed on all of our information portals, it is very hard to overlook. We do not “hide this information behind several clicks” – it is listed under “Important Info” at the very top where it clearly says “Exclusions”. If you fail to read the “Important Info”, or choose not to, then you will, of course, fail to read about the castles entrance fees being extra. We are sorry that you apparently managed to do this.

Unfortunately, not only do you wrongly lead people to believe that we do not inform our guests about the castle entrance fees, you also seem to claim that we only provide an expensive means of transportation to the castles. This is not true, because in addition to the transportation, we offer highly trained expert guides with many years of experience, top of the line bus drivers and exciting itineraries. We have been told many times by our customers that the highlight of taking our Royal Castles tour is the fact that you get to see both Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle as well as the Passion Play town of Oberammergau in one day. Gray Line is the only company which offers all these places in a single day.
