We regret the situation that happened in our restaurant last week, it is not usual, it´s the first time that happens to us since 2008, when we opened the restaurant.
We have security personnel during dinner services every day of the week. In addition, we have surveillance cameras that record 24 hours of what happens in the restaurant. As we have seen in our cameras, the thief come in just at the moment when the security partner was not at the terrace door, because he was in a security round around the restaurant.
It taked us exactly 1 minute and 32 seconds from the moment the lady arrived until we throw her out of the establishment. We can show it with the video surveillance cameras. So, it is clear that the staff was up to the task.
Just when you informed us about the stolen phone, we called the police to solve two problems;
In the first place, to denounce the theft of the mobile, since only you as the owner of the phone, were the only one who could handle this problem with the police and, secondly, with the intention of managing with the insurance a compensation for the stolen phone . In order to give legal support to the insurance´s claim, we are required to report about the theft.
Faced of the explanations of the restaurant team, there were not a good disposition on your part because you wanted to make us responsible for the facts and the claims. The police arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes after their departure and, at that moment, little else we could do to help you, because you had gone.
for your information, we have already delivered the video of the security cameras to the police.
Finally I do not want to loose the opportunity without point out that although we understand your discomfort due to the stolen mobile, we cannot share your decision to leave the establishment without paying the bill.
You must understand that ABADES TRIANA is a restaurant which means that it is a public establishment and therefore you cannot neglect your belongings and holding the restaurant responsible.
Finally, we understand that calling the police at the time it happens, delivering the images and trying to get in touch with you through the way by which you made the reservation, is do "something" about it . And not as you said that we didn´t care about what happened.
