Ah yes, some of the excursions can start out pretty late. Depending on what time of year you visit, sometimes we have to get going pretty far into the night to get the best darkness for visibility. Our light availability changes pretty quickly throughout the season, however, so you would be surprised how early you can go out during midwinter! You will have to visit again in winter to see, we get some lovely snow as well.
Either way, we are happy that you decided to give us a try, as our auroras are visible a bit before the typical hour. :) I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your time here, and we thank you for letting us know how it went.

Hæ hæ JCasNYC!
We´re so glad that you enjoyed visiting us. Did you know, that all of the photographs and film footage were captured by our team at the museum, and that all of those auroras were captured here in Iceland? (Well, except for the footage from space, of course. ;))
That´s a neat fact that visitors often do not get a chance to know, and we would like to spread the word- as we think it´s key to why the museum is so special. It´s nice to see the photos from the people giving the advice!
That being said, we are happy that you chose to spend some of your trip with us, and we are thankful that you enjoyed your visit.
How cool to hear from someone who has visited us twice! We see many travellers here, so we do not often get the chance to meet our visitors a second time. We are always busy changing things and adding on, so it is quite interesting to hear from someone who has been able to witness some of our growth. And of course, we are adding on many new things even now- so it sounds like you´ll have to make a third trip!
So glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit, thank you for stopping by once again. It is greatly appreciated by our team.
Yes, we are definitely your best bet for aurora watching in the summer, that is true. And it is always good to travel in groups, as a larger party can secure a group rate! Don´t forget, if you call or email ahead, you can also reserve a guided tour of the exhibition with one of our aurora hunter staff, as well. As you may already know from chatting with them, they often have volumes of information to share that go even beyond what is displayed on the walls of the museum. And some good jokes. (Well maybe more information than good jokes, but you never know.) ;)
Thanks for spending some of your holiday with us, and also for the kind words.
