Thank you for taking the time to provide comment on your recent dining experience at our beautiful resort.
I have noted your comments regarding the cost of meals and services at the resort. It is widely recognized that Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort has the best restaurants of any resort in Fiji. Our prices are well below resorts in Australia and New Zealand of a similar standard. One of our biggest challenges in Fiji is that over the past 5 years the government has increased import duty on all imported food and beverage by over 100%. As an example when we purchase our wines, spirits and beers from overseas the import duty on these goods is 87%. We then have to pay another 9% Value Add Tax, 10% service tax and another 6% environment levy – Very heavily taxed indeed!
It should be noted that our prices have always been cheaper when compared to similar resorts in Australia. I have been General Manager of a large number of island resorts in Australia and I assure you that our breakfast and dinner buffets are approximately 40% cheaper than what you would pay for in Australia. It should be known that our beverage prices are also cheaper than the resorts in Australia.
We also provide a large number of free services at the resort. Water sports, snorkeling, gym, tennis, water aerobics, yoga, meditation, basketball, Kids Club, Kids Eat Free, Meke Show, Polynesian Show are all free of charge.

本来应该给这个地方3.5颗星的,但系统貌似设置了只能给整数颗星，所以我就选了3颗星因为实在是不值4星。
本来这是我计划了好久的一次旅行，对它的期望特别高。
一般来说，我们对五星级(那些自称五星的)度假酒店的期望是基于我们以前去过的其他酒店、餐厅和度假酒店的经历比较出来的，如果经常旅游的话，一般一看就能看出来是不是值五星。
先说说这家酒店好的方面吧。
这里有一个美丽的环礁咸水湖，景观设计做得相当不错，我猜想应该大部分房间(如果不是所有的房间的话)都能看到海景。
另外，酒店里有几家餐厅可供选择，其中一家只有成人可以进入用餐。
这家只供成年人进入的餐厅里面有个泳池。有很多可供孩子和成年人玩的活动，像是游泳、浮潜、美黑以及其他休闲活动。
那儿的工作人员非常友好。即使如此，我还是只评了3星，为什么呢。
第一天我们一路长途跋涉来到这里的时候，办理外入住手续，一进房间我们就发现它非常陈旧。
淋浴间很脏，而且墙上还发霉了!
是的，这就是酒店在新顾客入住前已经打扫过的效果——还是有大量霉菌和灰尘。
霉菌积累到了一定程度，度假村可能不得不派人去漂白并重新装上瓷砖。
阳台上的栏杆(毫不夸张地说)锈迹斑斑，这对小孩子来说，可能会很危险。
住在那里的第二天上午,我们离开了房间，并放上了“请打扫房间”的标志，但一整天后我们回来的时候,惊讶地发现根本就没打扫过,即使我们正好在走廊里看到了清洁女工,她还问了我们是否需要打扫房间（这还用问吗，这里是海滩哎，每天这么多泥沙尘土、又这么潮湿，肯定要打扫啊）,我们对她说:"是的,我们的房间需要打扫"。
我妻子就打电话去前台问了，为什么不帮我们打扫房间，对方居然被告知他们只在入住后的第二天开始打扫。
是认真的吗！什么样的五星级酒店会这么做啊！
再说早餐，居然只在一个地方供应，而且工作人员人手明显不足。
酒店里住了这么多客人、孩子，但根本没有足够的工作人员接待。
实际上，我们不得不自己取咖啡，而且还是由于人手不足而放在柜台上都已经冷透了的咖啡。
煎蛋卷、香肠和华夫饼也是如此，厨师制作的速度，根本比不上那么多人消耗的速度。
再说说地理位置吧，它距离纳迪大概有一个多小时的车程，如果你想搞一个一日游的话，从纳迪开车到纳迪需要很长一段时间，一天玩下来，开车回纳迪则需要更长时间。（因为班车沿途还要接送其他客人上下车）
说说食物，根本不符合五星级酒店的品质。不论是服务质量、视觉感受，气味，还是食物味道，都不够格。
也许对你们中的一些人会觉得，我的要求未免太高了。
但事实上，我只是客观陈述了事实。
比方说水疗中心吧，我妻子做了一次超贵的(可能是最贵的)SPA。
标价150美元左右，这还只是常规服务，不包括各种硅胶啦或指甲护理啦等等其他的费用。
我们还花了一下午或者说一晚上呆在山顶的酒吧里，据说在那里可以看到美丽的日落。
但从建筑结构看，其实是看不到日落的，因为被小山挡住了。
这里的餐前小吃主要是些预制的罐头食物，加热一下。这肯定算不上5星吧。
我想如果你晚上在泳池边、餐桌上喝醉了的话，很多东西都可以从你身边溜走，而你却茫然不知。
相信大部分的五星好评来自那些带着孩子旅游的家庭。
确实如果你有孩子的话，这算是一个不错的地方，有泳池、海滩，各类丰富的活动，甚至还有小孩子的日托班。
因为有了这些设施、活动会降低你的期望，或者至少“帮”你把目光从我对五星评定中那些不完美的地方移开。
总的来说，我不建议情侣来这儿，也不建议在这里办婚礼典礼。
当然有孩子的家庭另说，可能还挺适合的。
记住，它算不上是一个五星级度假胜地(至少在我看来是这样)。但还是很高兴能有机会来斐济玩儿，我喜欢这个地方和这里的人，虽然酒店有点让人失望，但还算是度过了一段美好时光。希望你们来玩的话，能玩的开心。

Thanks for taking the time to provide a review.
One of the great things about Trip Advisor is the opportunity for anyone to have an opinion but also for the resort can have the right of reply. We take constructive criticisms and try to learn from them as well as acknlowledge our shortcomings with a sincere apology.
If I can provide a response to your comments.
Firstly, I sincerely apologise your room was not cleaned per your expectation upon arrival.
Whilst I note your comments highlighting yourself as an experienced traveller therefore I was surprised you expected your room to be cleaned on the first day of arrival (indeed all 5 stars will clean on the second day of a stay unless you request for your arrival day) or that at buffet breakfast you didnt expect live cooking stations (omlettes, waffles etc are usually cooked 'a la minute' at 5 star hotels usually). This is not due to a staff shortage but considered by most consumers to be a quality service point rather than everything pre-cooked.
Your comment "Considering that we used to live in California, we kind of know what an expensive mani-pedi should cost)" was difficult to understand the relevance, also the pricing quoted of $150USD is not correct, its around half of that ($145FJD). Another of your issues regarding the Kalokalo bar (hilltop located) was the angle of the sunset, however if you go to the "Sundowner" our beachfront restaurant and bar you will get a better sunset aspect.
Your comments about being "...drunk around the pool, at the dinner table and in the evening, a lot can get by you and you wouldn’t care", was also confusing as was your comment "Maybe it would seem as if I aim too high for some of you, the truth is, I’m being truthful and realistic".
Your recommendation against couples and weddings at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort fortunately is not agreed to by so many, as we continue to remain as Fiji's number one wedding destination.

我们的房间很干净，漂亮，舒适，可以看到令人惊叹的海滨美景。我们一边欣赏美丽的日落和海滩，一边坐在吊床上，手里拿着免费的香槟。设施很棒，尤其是成人泳池区和商店。很高兴Jack就在那里。太容易买到纪念品了。酒店的工作人员以友好、专业的态度提供优质、高效的服务。詹姆斯·塔马尼非常出色，非常有效率！！他对我们照顾得很好，总是乐于助我们一臂之力。感谢Josi（客房服务员），她总是确保我们的房间干净整洁。地理位置优越，而且很方便，因为公共汽车站基本上就在酒店的前面。客房服务非常好。我们还享受了下午和晚上的免费饮料和小吃。缺点：餐厅的菜单价格太贵了。斐济勒贡奥特里格尔酒店确实给我们创造了一次难忘的经历。谢谢！
