Thanks for taking the time to review Breeze at Cape Yamu, we're delighted that you enjoyed your visit.
Thanks for taking the time to review your visit to Breeze. Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. We aim for a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, with plenty of room between table and our style is meant to reflect the open air ambiance. As regards the speed of food service, in our defence we may appear slow, but that is because each dish is freshly prepared. So whether there is 1 table or 5 tables being served it does take time to prepare and cook your dishes.
点了Thaitini(姜/荔枝/盐晶玻璃)很好喝。
Hi Kiligran
Thanks for taking the time to review your recent visits to Breeze I am sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations. Whilst I note your comment on Lychee i could point out that it has a very short season (April to May) and grows only in the north (where it was brought in from China), most lychee available in Thailand is a processed juice that's available anywhere in the world.
I was upset by your headline I am disappointed you left thinking that we were pretentious, it certainly isn't what we aim to be. We aim to be a casual open air restaurant offering freshly prepared food that represents good value for money.
Thank you also for giving me an opportunity to respond to your comment regarding our prices, especially the price of our Long Lazy Lunch which you attended and which we serve only on Sundays. Our average customer spend on lunch on other days of the week is GBP 10 (THB 500) per head (GBP20 per couple)
GBP 140 for lunch certainly sounds expensive, (London prices as you describe it).
You don't mention that this price includes a free flow package of alcohol bringing your food costs down to GBP 35/head - that casual food includes imported oysters, charcuterie and meats and the meal time stretches from 12 pm to 4 pm. Unfortunately having to import ceratin foods for quality pushes costs higher than most of us would wish.
That leave GBP 35 per head for a free flow alcohol package that includes cocktails, Prosecco and wines or beer for 4 hours. We don't use this as an opportunity to sell cheap wines in large volumes, and the drinks package isn't compulsory. Many of our guest choose to share a bottle of wine or simply have a glass or two of beer or wine.
Unfortunately due to the excise duty on wines taxes make up 80% of the cost of a bottle of wine. We label and import our own wines providing us with the opportunity to offer our guest great value - considering the tax structure I take great delight in having wines on our menu that are sold in London restaurants at prices higher than we list them for.
Incidentally our listed prices include VAT and Service charge - so no surprises when you come to pay your bill and GBP 35 (THB 1,750) is lower than the cost of a single bottle of wine on most quality restaurants wine lists which would add VAT and service charges to it.
We would be delighted if you gave us another chance, perhaps to make you one of our "own" cocktails or to demonstrate through our evening Chef's menu some of our other talents.
