I like to response to all reviews and acknowledge both positive and negative feedback.
In reading your review and having no specific examples of what you found to be so extremely disappointing with your food experience its makes it hard to understand where such harshness and total disapproval of my kitchen team come from. I discussed your night with Jared (your waiter) and his impression of the night was that your party of 10 had an excellent night, meals were polishes off except for one guest who didn’t like the 2nd course (Charred mackerel, white anchovy yoghurt, salmon roe, pickled carrot, rye crisp) of the 5 course tasting menu. Jared felt that a great night was had by all with a late finish and good vibes. As you mentioned you were extremely happy with Jared’s service so it is upsetting that your complaint could not have been conveyed at the time so that we could responded accordingly. We did over 30 tasting menus that evening and served over 100 meals with lots of positive feedback and happy customers.
I accept options and feedback are extremely important and a way of making businesses accountable and keeping us honest. In the pages of this review site I am extremely proud of the good things that have been praised and commented about. As businesses have to be accountable I believe reviews also have to be mindful of the words they commit too and be very clear about what the specific issues may be so be can grow, learn and improve. I believe that criticism should be constructive not destructive.
