The museum collection currently consists of 2,300 works of contemporary art created by more than 250 artists from over 20 regions of Russia dated from 1950-ties till present time, which makes it the biggest Russian art museum that focuses on contemporary art in the entire country. You are so right that a bus trip from Nevsky prospect takes not more than 15 minutes. Or you can use the closest metro stations Vasileostrovskaya and Primorskaya and use bus, tram or trolleybus. Yes, we are a bit aside from the other sights, though a bus trip from Nevsky prospect takes not more than 15 minutes. Or you can use the closest metro stations Vasileostrovskaya and Primorskaya and use bus, tram or trolleybus. We are sure you can find the most suitable route. When travelling by metro you can have a good 20 minute walk to our museum and see some fine architecture. Just next to Erarta you can see an immense building named in honor of Kirov, which is a true monument to constructivist architecture. Hope you had a safe trip back home.
