I am sorry that this is still an issue after discussing with the team and communicating to Corporate IHG. I understand that you are frustrated, but there is no dishonesty on our behalf. Rather we are honoring the rates that you signed, and were advertised online, social sites and through our central booking center, on a pre-printed registration card, that cannot be amended after signature. Might I suggest that you ask for a copy of anything you sign when you check in to alleviate this issue for future travels.

Thank you for taking the time over the Holiday Season to review your stay at the Holiday Inn La Mesa.
I wanted to point out a few things that will make your next stay great! Parking, out front gets tight; however, we have larger spaces in the back of the hotel and on the sides. All the doors around the building are accessible with your room key.
Restaurant- we are getting there, I promise! We just changed the menus as well as most of the staff. Further, within this next year, the restaurant will get a full make over and have more of a gastrpub feel with great options.
In the first quarter of 2017, all of the mattresses will be replaced.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I thank you for pointing out the areas of need as we continue to improve the hotel from the previous management company.
We are looking to "refresh" the hotel in the very near future. All rooms, public space and the restaurant will be updated and modified to have a newer, more modern feel and attitude. I do hope that you will keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates as we venture into the renovation phase.
As for the restaurant, yes, full service Holiday Inn's do have full menu options that are priced similar to IHOP or other breakfast chains. Our sister property- Holiday Inn Express does offer complimentary breakfast.
