I am sure when you booked through the third party website and saw the pictures of the rooms and that is what we have. However, we are in process of remodeling the entire hotel rooms which will take a year and hopefully if you decide to come back again, we will have a newer look for you.

Hello guest, thank you for staying at our hotel and you are right that the hotel we have is based on designed since 1994 and was originally Holiday Inn. So décor are based on that. Now that we have anew ownership we are in the process of redoing the whole room look based on the true colors of Howard Johnson Inn. This whole process will take a year with the time and cost, so hopefully if you decide to come back again by late next year you would find the upgraded look. Salinas is an old and new city with the farming industry. It is improving in its look and feel and we definitely cannot compete with Monterey with its beautiful beaches and environment. But am glad that you were able to stay at our hotel, because our prices are comparatively low to Monterey hotels.
