Thank you for your positive review in regards to the quality of food and the setting , on a lovely day the gardens are great for a chill out , the sandwich filling would I guess be the cucumber mint and honey I personally really like it but then I am a marmite lover!! we are working obn the service elements you have highlighted they clearly need to be better
ps I do hope its not thirty years between visits!!
Thank you for your review of Hatherley Manor , the main building obviously is not new though we do try to keep it at the best possible standards it will suffer from wear and tear due to its age and due to it being in constant use , I note your concern re the chairs these were put out by our night staff and were changed by the day team who complete all the checks prior to the space being let which should have been explained to the ladies who came down in the morning to set things in the room. in regards to the toilets we do have frequent checks in place but obviously items can run out and these were replaced as soon as advised ,likewise with the bar your server did temporarily leave the bar to get some more stock whilst it was quiet, i hope you enjoyed the free drinks however please be mindful that we do have CCTV in all our bars and that this could be regarded as theft so I would not suggest that other guests found in this situation do the same !!. On a positive note we are pleased that you enjoyed the lovely new spa and that you found the staff and the food amazing kind regards Stephen

Thanks for your review i am sorry that on THIS occasion you did not get the experience that you wanted, the spa is a chargeable facility and in our opinion offers a value for money experience , not hotel guests can only access it by booking spa days that cost upwards of £100 per person ( these do include a treatment or two) so we believe the £25 fee offering use of the facility over 24 hours to be reasonable .
I take on board your view on the standard rooms and we are working on refurbishing these within the next 12 months, these are currently reasonably priced to reflect this.
I hope you had time to try out our restaurant where the food is getting really good reviews at the moment
Thanks for your review we are so pleased that you enjoyed the facilities in the spa and the food and beverage in our restaurant , we have been working hard on improving these over the past few months .
In relation to the rooms we are starting a programme on our classic rooms over the next twelve months but do also currently have some exceptional rooms like The Swallows, room 232 the deluxe, our new bedroom suite over the spa and our many other feature superior rooms, I would recommend all guests review these before booking.
In regards to being dog friendly then I would unashamedly say yes we are, we are a countryside hotel and pets do generally go hand in hand, that said we don’t allow dogs in our restaurant (with exception of guide dogs naturally)
thank you for your review and pictures we will discuss within the team your views on the staff as grumpy most certainly isnt what we would expect any of the team to be
