Thank you for your review and compliments about your stay at The Garden City Hotel. As you posted, a short walk across the street will get you on your way to experience all Manhattan offers. The Long Island Railroad and NYC subway systems can be a bit daunting, but our bellmen and Front Desk staff are knowledgeable and always available to give advice on ways to best navigate those systems. A spa treatment or massage at the in-hotel Elizabeth Arden Red Door are great ways to relax and unwind and, better yet, you don't have to leave the hotel to take advantage of those services! The hotel does offer great amenities for our guests, including 24-hour In Room Dining service, and I'm delighted all were to your liking. We look forward to your next visit to the hotel and will be very pleased to again be your host!

With great service from our amazing staff, fabulous accommodations, indoor heated pool, 24-hour state of the art fitness center, Red Door Spa & Salon, plus great food and drink in King Bar and Red Salt Room both by legendary Chef David Burke, you never have to leave the hotel! Sadly, if you must leave, we are short rides to both JFK and LaGuardia Airports and close to all major highways. If a trip to Manhattan is in your travel plans, we are also located across the street from the Long Island Railroad station to New York City. Can't be beat convenience, convenience, convenience combined with location, location, location are only at The Garden City Hotel! We look forward to your next visit.
Thank you for your review of The Garden City Hotel. I am sorry you were disappointed about not having a duvet on your guest room bed. The style of bed making now used at the hotel, Triple sheeting, uses multiple layers of sheets enfolding a blanket. It is also the style most luxury hotels now use. On your next visit, please let us know if anything is not perfect for you. In this instance, we would have brought a duvet to your guest room and remake your bed to your satisfaction. Please also know that we place extra blankets in the closet if triple sheeting is not comfortable for you.
