Thank you for posting a candid feedback from your recent stay with us. It is nice to know that you were able to appreciate the condition of our bed and our heating system. However, I was concerned to see that you had some issues with our property due to the ongoing construction. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused you during your stay. When it comes to the safety of our guests, we do not compromise. The flooding our property experienced was due to a guest breaking a sprinkler head on our fire safety system. In response, we closed for six days to remove areas of the building impacted by water damage. A disaster relief company inspected, removed excess water, and advised us to remove anything suspect. The Broome county Department of Health, Local Code Enforcement, and the Vestal Fire Department have inspected our hotel and life safety systems. There is no structural issue with our building, mold, or any other areas that may harm our guests.
At this point we are simply in a remodel stage. The only discernible difference is that our entrance is in the back of the building currently. All services, including breakfast, wi-fi, fitness center, pool, and guest corridors are not impacted by the remodel.
If you have any questions as it pertains to our cancellation policy, please let me know. We typically do not refund a day of arrival cancellation when a guest is asked to leave. Intimidating and threatening the hotel staff is not acceptable. These determinants factored heavily in our decision not to refund you. Please feel free to contact me for additional information.
